everyday is a runway

costume design is very important in a movie. yes, because it's visual and it says a lot on the personality and tonality of the character. just like how we normal people dress. we dress to impress a date or an interview or just to make a statement or when we want to feel confident. it's true what rebecca bloomwood said that 'shopping makes her feel alive and happy.'

i read the books --- 'confessions of a shopaholic,' 'shopaholic takes manhattan' and 'shopaholic ties the knot' years back. the author is british so the setting and language is very uptown brit which i expected in the film. i was excited to watch the movie and see visually the style of a rebecca bloomwood. i was a bit disappointed that her clothes are too mix-and-match and too much color. the only british there was her love interest, luke. it's a combined confessions of a shopaholic takes manhattan. but isla fisher is really funny that made the movie fun and light. it's a chick literature so obviously it's a chick flick.

i like each of the pieces but not as an outfit. comparing it to 'the devil wears prada,' andrea sach's fashion is still the winner! her style is classy, edgy and timeless.

imagine my awe while watching this movie. every outfit change is just so fabulous. i also read the book and it very much is close to it. i just want to ransack her wardrobe.
